About Megy
I’m a seasoned storyteller and strategic communicator who helps nonprofits, brands, and creators tell their stories with purpose and impact. From ghostwriting books and writing annual reports to teaching graduate-level communications courses and managing media relations, I bring a relentless curiosity and deep expertise in fields like sustainability, architecture and design, and social justice.
I specialize in writing compelling stories and empowering mission-driven organizations and brands to amplify their voices through clear, impactful communication. Whether shaping narratives or crafting strategic PR campaigns, I dive deeper than most to uncover the stories that matter. My editors and clients count on me for clean, precise work delivered on time—every time.
Known for my persistence, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to excellence, I’ve built a track record of success that spans industries from architecture and design to content marketing for brands like Lowe’s, Angi’s, and McCormick Spice. My byline has appeared in dozens of outlets, including the New York Times, AARP, Runner’s World, and Architectural Digest. I’m fearless in my pursuit of the perfect story and dedicated to delivering the best work to my clients and editors.
On a personal note...
I live in Chicago and love to spend as much time outdoors as possible. One of my favorite hobbies is growing tomatoes from seed. I usually grow more than two dozen varieties of tomatoes in my backyard and my favorite is the Green Zebra. During Chicago’s harsh winters when I’m not gardening or daydreaming of gardening, I’m jotting down plots for a mystery novel.
